My Sunday Song and a smile

Today my heart is heavy because my dear daughter Lynell is still sick.
Even though she is getting good care from her family,
I can hardly stand not to be there with her.
How I love this precious girl
and the thought of her being sick and in pain
is hard for me to bear.
So today, since I am not up to doing a Sunday Six smiles,
I've decided to do
A Sunday Song and a Smile.
I can manage that.
...
I pray on a regular basis....morning and night and throughout the day.
However, with this dear daughter sick so far away I find that I am
praying with more earnestness.
I am pleading with my Heavenly Father to bless her....
...to be with her...
...to comfort her and heal her.
...
The feelings of my heart bring to mind one of my favorite hymns...
...which is...
"I Need Thee Every Hour"
Written by Annie Hawkes and Robert Lowry.
...
I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like thine, Can peace afford.
...
chorus...I need thee; O I need thee;
Every hour I need thee!
Oh bless me now , my Saviour;
I come to thee!
...
I need thee every hour, stay thou near by;
Temptations lose their power when thou art nigh.
chorus
I need thee every hour, In joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain
chorus
I need thee every hour, Most holy One;
O make me thine indeed, Thou blessed Son!
chorus
...
I do need His blessings every hour.
What a comfort it is to know that even though
I can not be with Lynell at this time...He can!
...
This is my smile for you today.
This darling dog is named is Sally.
She belongs to our friends Nate and Emily.
We visited with them 2 weeks ago when we went to Vegas
to see Johnny's gymnastic meet.

Nate and Emily had 5 quail eggs that hatched out that weekend.

The baby birds adopted Sally as their mother...
...and Sally took her parental responsibilities seriously!
Isn't that so cute!
Sally and her chicks make me smile....
I bet they make you smile too....at least I hope so.
...
Thanks to all of you that have remembered our Lynell in your prayers.
Please continue to do so.
With medication she is able to manage the pain but the hardest part is not knowing
when or if she will be able to pass the kidney stone.
Now she is not sure if the nausea is caused from the illness or the medication.
So...I just wait and pray.
Thanks for your support.
I hope that it is a good week for you.
Hugs, Lura

Our prayers are with Lynell too. Poor thing! But she is tough and will get through this gloriously like she does every trial that comes her way!

Those pictures of Sally are adorable! Love it!

Continuing to pray for our sweet Lynell. I just know Heavenly Father will take care of her and that she will be well soon. She is such a precious daughter and is a wonderful example to me of the mother I should have been when I had the chance to be one . . . I really enjoyed our time at her home and with her family. Please give her my love. Will put her name into the temple again. I Love you guys. Love that sweet dog and the baby quail as well. Animals have it so right don't they? The mother instinct is so pure and sweet in them. I love my dear friend Lura. Sending hugs and love from across the sea and expanse of land that separates us. NO matter how far away we may be from each other, our hearts are intertwined. XXOO

I'm so sorry your daughter is sick and in pain. I will definitely have her in my prayers, as well. I hope she gets to feeling much better very soon.
And the story of Sally and her adopted chicks was so sweet! Definitely made me...ahhh, the puppy just picked up the water bowl and drug it across the carpet spilling along the way. :( Okay, I'm back! It's cleaned up. What I was trying to say was that Sally definitely made me smile. :)
