Our St. George trip to attend Johnny's gymnastic meet.

We drove up to St. George with 2 of Mindy's children, E.J. (8) and Claire (6) last Fri. We joined Jacobsons and McGibbons who drove down from northern Utah to attend Johnny's gymnastic meet. We all had a good time. Johnny did a great job and made us all proud. We arrived Fri. eve and left Sun. morn. We crowded as much into the few hours that we had as possible. The only thing wrong with the weekend was it was over too quickly. As a new blogger, I posted the first picture last and I don't know how to change it. So, please start at the bottom and read up. (I wish that I had my smart blogging Marla or Erin to help me do this right. ) I send my best to all.

Saying goodbye is hard.

We all hated to say goodbye so soon but it was hardest for Claire and Lonica.

She was crying as if her heart would break as we drove away. She said,"Grammy it just isn't fair my cousin lives in Utah." I agree with her whole heartedly.

Jalen and E.J. playing at meet.

While we were waiting for Johnny to compete in St. George, Jalen taught E.J. how to skate on this 2 wheel skateboard thing. ( I don't know what it is really called.) E.J. hopped on and took off. He really got the hang of it fast and had fun playing on it all afternoon.

The Travelodge will never be the same...

We all fit into 3 rooms. We all had a lot of fun. (However, one couple next door who went to bed at 8:00 asked us to have the children use quieter voices.) That was easier said than done. After all we had Claire and Lonica with us.

Meeting with friends

We were glad that our friends, Krystal and her daughter Holly, and granddaughter, Hallie could join us at the meet. Grampy, Lynell and Erin are also pictured.

Johnny did great!

Our 11 year old grandson, Johnny, made us all proud at his gymnastics meet. I don't have good pictures. I'm hoping that Erin will post some of her's on my blog for me. (If not, you could click on her blog and see them.) He came in 2nd overall in his age group. He only missed 1st place by 2/10 of a point. He is quite the little gymnist. He will compete at the State level the end of March.

St. George with our kids

We took E.J. and Claire with us to meet Jacobsons and McGibbons in St. George to attend Johnny's gymnastic meet. We all arrived Fri. eve, 2/22. Other than attending the meet, one of our highlights was eating together.
